full time Credit Controller

The Company

Robert Half International are currently recruiting for a Credit Controller on an interim basis for 6 months.Your role will be to achieve best in class for debtor recovery days. Develop, implement, and maintain an effective, professional, class beating credit control system for the group. Minimize group risk to credit, and report material items to management, demonstrating a proactive approach to tackling issues.

The Role

Manage the outstanding sales balances falling due, and contact customers immediately as they fall overdue, maintain a balanced approach to both customer care, and the need to collect debt efficientlySet and monitor credit limitsRecord all activity on the system for effective management and escalation of delinquent debtsDevelop strong relationships with customers over the telephone, via email Escalate delinquent debts to management and FD where appropriate Propose legal proceedings to ensure outstanding debts are bought to a satisfactory conclusion. Keep the company up to date with new credit management procedures and techniques, and propose changes to policy. Assist in the allocation of cash and dealing with customer queriesMaintenance of accounting systems as needed.Identify customer care issues, and report to managementProvide cover for purchase ledger payments Assist business support management and management accountant on projects of a general accounting natureSet personal goals to exceed management expectationUse automated processes to streamline routine debt recovery process for young overdue debtReview the company credit control procedure and develop and implement enhancements where required.

To be considered excellent communication skills are essential, confident charismatic phone manner as a majority of the time will be spent communicating with customers over the phone.You will be Numerate, with a demonstrable track record of achievements in credit control.You will be Comfortable with all situations, highly developed interpersonal skills Able to demonstrate experience within Credit Control over recent 5 years, minimum of 1 year, ideally 2 years.
